Explore the Stunning Gaylord Opryland Resort
Nestled in the heart of Music City, Gaylord Opryland Resort combines luxury with southern hospitality.
With over 2,800 rooms, the resort offers a variety of accommodations.
Whether you are visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, you will find the perfect room for your needs.

Each room offers modern amenities, and some rooms offer stunning views of the resort’s lush gardens.
I recommend not trying to save on room cost and book that balcony with a view to one of their interior atriums and not just a room with an exterior window.
Not booking a room with an interior balcony was my biggest regret.
I was trying to save money for activities and save on room cost but what completely slipped my mind was the ‘on the go eater’ my son is and I didn’t realize how fast everything booked up for reservations.
If I didn’t make this ‘rookie’ mistake and actually thought it through, I would have gotten a room with an interior balcony view.
I would have brought different hand foods for breakfast and had calm mornings people watching on the balcony eating breakfast and drinking my coffee.
The room cost is higher financially for an interior balcony view, but in my personal opinion it is definitely worth it.
Unmatched Indoor Gardens and Attractions
One of the highlights of the Gaylord Opryland Resort is its breathtaking indoor gardens.
The resort features nine acres of lush, tropical gardens under its glass atriums.

Stroll through the Delta Riverboat, where you can take a scenic boat ride through the indoor garden, or visit the stunning waterfall that add to the beauty of the space.
For an even more exciting experience, check out the resort’s seasonal events.
From holiday decoration to summer events, Gaylord Opryland always has something special to offer.
The resort transforms into winter wonderland during the holidays, complete with ice sculptures, a snow tubing hill, and live entertainment.
When we stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, they still had their Christmas decorations throughout the resort. So, my son and I took the scenic riverboat cruise to look at all the decorations and the beautiful Christmas trees.

The Perfect Venue for Conferences and Conventions
Gaylord Opryland is not just a luxury resort; it is also an excellent venue for business events.
The convention center spans 700,000 square feet, making it one of the largest in the country.
It offers a variety of meeting rooms, exhibit halls, and event spaces that can accommodate events of all sizes.
With its modern technology and full-service amenities, Gaylord Opryland ensures that your conferences, convention, or trade show will be a success.
The resort also offers dedicated even planners to assist with every aspect of your event, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
My son and I went over New Years Eve weekend. The ice show in the convention center was not open yet but I have gone to that in previous years and it was such a fun experience and I definitely recommend it if you go right after New Years.
The Convention center had the Elf Exhibit when we went and an outside ice rink and snow tubing.
Carson loved ice skating and snow tubing but did not like the Elf exhibit.
If you have younger kids, I would say less than the age of 6, they would most likely have a great time at the Elf exhibit.
The convention center activities are an additional cost. I would recommend checking the convention center to see what the exhibit or show is during your time of visit.
World-Class Dining and Entertainment Options
When it comes to dining, Gaylord Opryland Resort offers a wide variety of options.
Enjoy everything from fine dining to casual eateries.
Popular spots like Old Hickory Steakhouse and Puck’s Big American Eatery offer delicious meals, while the Cascades American Cafe provides a unique dining experience with a view of the indoor waterfalls.
In addition, to dining, the resort offers top-notch entertainment. Whether you’re looking to enjoy live music, visit the nearby Grand Ole Opry, or relax at the resort’s spa, there’s something for everyone.
If you go over a holiday, I would definitely ask about activities or special events.
They had a balloon drop at midnight on New Year’s Eve my son has never experienced before and live music going on up until the balloon drop. It was so fun and definitely worth staying up till midnight!
If you have an extra adult with you and you are not a single mom like me, I do recommend sending the lucky adult (maybe you since you are reading this blog lol) and grabbing a table and chairs in the hallway of the balloon drop and having a drink ( if going over NYE). That way your family has a place to sit and are not sitting on the floor or standing waiting for drop time.
Special events and events at restaurants book up fast, so plan ahead and make that reservation. I would call a month in advance to your trip and ask about special events and signups.
The Gaylord Opryland Resort also has an amazing pool area called SoundWaves. SoundWaves does cost extra to have access, but it is worth every penny to book for your kids. You can add it on when you check out booking your room.
