I’m Kari, and alongside my son Carson, created Barefoot Drifter. We embark on adventures that celebrate culture, cuisine, and the joy of exploration. Our mission is to inspire families to embrace the journey, one barefoot step at a time.
We have a heart for travel, food, new experiences and enjoy getting to know different cultures and people groups.
Come alongside us as we share our mother and son adventures, cultural experiences and my personal experience traveling with kids.
Our family travel blog is to share our story and to help others feel confident in traveling the world. But more importantly, it is about embracing the journey over the destination.

So how did we get our name Barefoot Drifter? Simply put, we love living life barefoot and free. My son and I always love to walk around barefoot, and we love to drift around, seeing where life takes us.
